Local residents have had the backing of Norden Ward Councillors in opposing plans to allow the Woodyard Garage at the junction of Edenfield Road and Bagslate Moor Road to extend it's opening ours to allow 24 hour trading, seven days a week.
Walkers at the Remembrance Day service in Norden will do so this year on a route lined with poppies. Norden Councillor, Peter Winkler, was approached by a resident who had seen a similar display and he contacted the Royal British Legion to find out more.
Norden Councillors are calling for help and information from the public to help stop a growing problem with graffiti around the village. The call comes after a recent spate of instances where offenders have sprayed offensive and comments, images and tags throughout the length of the village.
